I have been using this bipod for over 10 years. It mounts to a picatinny rail, is spring loaded and very sturdy. The new version (here) has a picatinny rail on the side of the bipod so you can mount a light or laser.

BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front):
This is perfect for the AR system. It allows for just enough clearance for standard magazines to not hit the ground. Its sturdy, and REALLY easy to deploy and put away. Easy to clean if it gets caked with mud. SOLID buy especially for the price.
