Mossberg 500 All-Purpose Field

In my opinion the best pump action shotguns on the market are the Mossberg 500 and the Remington 870. Both are proven in the civilian market, military market, and law enforcement. The main selling point ergonomically is the safety being on the top of the receiver on the Mossberg. Meaning its usable by both left and right handers. Its also VERY easy to use with gloves on. The Mossberg is my preferred pump action shotgun. However, if you are planning to put a pistol grip stock on it, the 870 is a better option given the safety location. With the Mossberg safety being on the top, when running a pistol grip stock, you cant reach it. Otherwise, both shotguns are excellent options.
