Lucky Loon Review
I have used the XL for MANY years now. The Safari I have had for 1 year. Its been through multiple thunderstorms, downpours, a blizzard, and mosquitos.
BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front):
I am impressed with the Haven Safari. The ease of use, setup, and comfort are unmatched. The material quality is GREAT (Canvas). As a full system its very heavy and definitely intended to be used in more car camping type scenarios. The XL and Spectre are better options for more lightweight scenarios. I have had 0 issues with the Safari so far and have been very happy with the materials choice. The sinch strap is really nice and the upgraded mattress is incredible. This option from Haven is for someone who wants max durability and comfort without a care about weight. The True level Safari pad is great. This system works really well for heavy/larger people.
Pros:
-Durable Materials choice
-Ease of use
-Great design and function
-Comfort
-Great for large people
Cons:
-Price
-Small quirks (needs small carbineers, included straps are shorter than desired)
